Pilot Study Thing of otherness

 OBJECT BIOGRAPHY 

We have a lecture about objects biology by lecturer prasanna liyanage.We had a basic lecture first and after he gave us a activity that gp and see a table full of items. so we went to that table and see properly that items on table. their had nescafe bottle. thread , පන් වට්ටිය , කූරක් , Bracelet. and our lecturer asked for a story like murder case to create by that items on table. we had to act like a item in court. we had to tell our biography and story what are the thing we see and how i was in that table. this is the object biography the items had their own story birth to dead. after our lecturer asked to get pictures in campus choose items in that story. we get the picture and write the object biography for that otems.

HOW WE GET THE IDEA TO COLLECTING DATA IN PILOT STUDY

we had to collect data in our university from our lectures things. so i learn about the object biography. we create 2 activities for collecting data about this object biography. At first we had no idea about how to linked this to oyr activities. at last we decided to do a form and give it to university students to fill it 

This is the first form we created to get data about objects biography. we get a one things like universal thing “ The diary” diary is an very private things in humans so we choose to get diary’s biography form the students. so we freate this form all the students like some of are use diary some students are not using it. we add 3 questions to the form and give it to them to answer. we get more ideas about their diary and their feelings about the diary. so this is the first activity about the object biography. 

the second one is show more thing about the otherness. we choose to asked students about their t shirt wear on now. what is the special of it. what is the story of that t shirt they wear. 

They answered about our chart. i thought that is not easy to get more details about their clothes. but after read their answers i exited about it. became all the students had different answers about their t shirt. this is the otherness. i learn form this activity all the people are different their object had more stories like as them. the otherness is not coming form human it linked also their objects.

INTERVIEW

this is the second pilot study in my group. “interview” I learn that session about different interview techniques. structure, semi structured, non structured. these are the main points of it. so we do interviews using the semi structure method. 

we asked many questions with human sense. from students, staff members. i thought that the people said anything if we are within caring voice and humanity. one of the staff member said their long experience in working university. she remembered a person who study in our university. and she said some of students clean their plates properly and some of them are not doing it. i found by it otherness. she think some department students are good and some are bad this is the otherness i leanred by the interview.
